Twenty eight students out of 97 toppers are from Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, have managed to secure the first, second and third joint topper ranks in class 10 exam this year, results of which were declared on Monday.
Three students each from Noida have scored 499, 498 and 497 marks to secure their first, second and third ranks, while Ghaziabad has three students sharing the first rank, six under the second rank and 10 under the third rank.
The three first-rank students from Noida include Siddhant Pengoriya (Lotus Valley International School), Divyansh Vadhwa (Bal Bharti Public School) and Shivani Lath (Mayoor School).
Their performance has shown a significant improvement in the class 10 2019 results, as compared to the previous years, in the Dehradun region.
It is not only because of the result analysis we do in coordination with schools, but also owing to rectification measures we take up jointly with schools. Above all, the performance of students is very encouraging, Ranbir Singh, regional officer (Dehradun region), CBSE, said.
Last year , the Central Board of Secondary Education Board examinations were held for class 10 students after a gap of nine years.
Till then, the exam was optional and the Board graded students who chose not to take it based on internal assessments
