1. WHAT’S THE CONCEPT BEHIND DEALEMPIRE’S THEME?
The logo icon was based on knight elements such as: Shield, Stars, Swords and a Helmet.
Shield: Characterises the protection we want to offer to all of our users.
Stars: The stars represent the rating of our evaluation after inspecting and reviewing deals, 5 being the maximum rating that the brands can get. However, there won’t be five stars given because a brand can never be perfect, ratings can get closer to 4.8/4.9 as we believe there is always room for improvement.
Swords: The battle to stand for what is fair in the affiliate industry.
A Helmet was perceived as a sign of loyalty and courage during the medieval times, therefore I wanted to acknowledge the intense dedication of the Spartans to defend their minority community. These are technically the same core values that DealEmpire stands for.
2. HOW DID YOU END UP IN THE IGAMING INDUSTRY, HOW DID IT ALL START?
It all started when I got a job in 2015 as an affiliate account manager for a marketing company that had clients related to trading, casino and sports betting. Previously to this year, I had been working with travel and e-commerce platforms under the affiliate team.
3. WHAT MADE YOU BECOME AN AFFILIATE?
Throughout my career I’ve always worked closely with affiliates on a daily basis, focused on relationship building and iGaming account management, after doing it for enough years… I felt that I needed another hurdle, a new challenge.
4. WHAT DIFFERENCE DO YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE IN AN INDUSTRY THAT IS OFTEN TOO COMPETITIVE?
I think competition is needed in order to spark progression. I believe that being different is a good thing, the domain doesn’t have “gambling” or “casino” in it, because we don’t want to limit the website into only one niche.
In addition, I worked on the other side of the fence with the iGaming operators (B2B), now becoming an affiliate gives me thrills. I think I can help bridge some gaps between the operators & customers (B2C) and strive to apply what works better for everyone. Nevertheless, only hard work and dedication will help the project achieve that.
5. WHICH EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES DO YOU THINK ARE GOING TO CHANGE THE IGAMING INDUSTRY?
I’m a strong believer that blockchain technology will help solve the some of the biggest challenges gambling institutions face today with KYC, Problem Gambling and Slot Games Development.
In terms of KYC, blockchain is almost impossible to be hacked into since it has decentralized transactions, allowing gambling firms to acquire the highest level of security regarding customer digital identity.
Problem Gambling
Monitoring live data can be more advanced for gambling organisations to flag potential risky users and track suspicious activities. With this technology in place it could potentially recognise gambling addiction before it becomes harmful.
Slot Games Development
When gaming platforms move into blockchain technology, it will enable game developers manage bigger chunks of data, resulting in online slots built with better immersive graphics and sound. Ultimately, I also think virtual reality will change the way players interact to each other and play on virtual land-based casinos.
