Last week we had the opportunity to sit down with Business Blurb co-founder Brendan Cox to chat about his rapidly growing media company. In 2020, the digital world is growing rapidly and we wanted to dive deeper into one of the fastest growing business media companies on social media.
Business Blurb an Instagram-focused media company that publishes hourly updates on national business news and entrepreneurial educational content. Business Blurb focuses on young audiences across verticals like business, entrepreneurship and technology. To date, the company has attracted a network of close to a million followers across their various platforms and accounts.

During our conversation with him, Cox said that during the pandemic, Business Blurb has seen record numbers of impressions, engagement and overall company growth.
With Gen Z naturally hooked to social media, the pandemic only made social media a more prominent aspect of life, “When people lack human interaction like most of us did throughout the pandemic, we naturally turn to social media to attempt to connect with friends virtually.” Cox continued, “As a result, we saw an increasing number of individuals interested in entrepreneurship following us and seeking inspiration, education and advice within the digital entertainment space.”

In early 2020, Forbes covered Business Blurb’s initial success where they received “over 20,000,000 monthly impressions within one month of inception.” Cox referred to their growth as “exponential” compared to then and credited most of it to having a strong team with a prominent message of “offering advice, guidance and inspiration for established and aspiring entrepreneurs worldwide.”
This demographic, insists Cox, seeks out easily consumable business content on social media, rather than publications and solely news-based websites. With hundreds of millions of monthly impressions across their various platforms, I do not doubt Business Blurb’s success.
