If you haven’t yet made yourself familiar with Yung Dub D this is the perfect time to do so. Rising in the worlds of hip-hop and rapping, Yung Dub D can be considered quite a sensation to the music industry. However, he is no newbie to it and has already made quite a mark with his past albums and singles. This time though he is coming back bigger and better with his latest album soon to be released on the 17th of September this year.
Yung Dub D has several individuals whom he looks up to both for their talent in music-making as well as their way of life. He said “My top three musical influences would be Michael Jackson because he is the greatest of all time and very talented. Stevie Wonder because he is a musical genius and his songs express different moods and Lil Wayne because whatever was done, he tries to make a better version and be very competitive.”. Although Yung Dub D takes great inspiration from them, he makes sure never to absolutely copy their style- not only because it would be disrespectful to them but also because it would be unfair for him not to hone in on his talents.
One of Yung Dub D’s first songs was “Driver” which gained a lot of attention for him. However, attention can be of both good and bad shorts and with lots of love and support, there was an equal amount of criticism. However, Yung Dub D never let that get to him and instead went on to create several masterpieces such as “Core”, “Put it all on me”, “I agree”, “In my head”, “Alligator lizard” and “What you gon call me”. All of these tunes have got a considerable amount of appreciation with more than hundreds of streams on Spotify and has catapulted Yung Dub D into the spotlight.
“Core” in particular gave rise to the recognition of Yung Dub D’s viral style of highly energetic music beats and rhythmic melody. This is sure to be repeated again in his upcoming album. Although nothing has been mentioned for sure in an attempt to build up the anticipation quotient one can be sure that Yung Dub D will not disappoint.
