The American supermarket chain, Kroger, has decided to add CBD products in all Texas stores. Kroger’s CBD products include lotions, balms, oils, and creams. Texas will become one of the 22 states in which the Kroger will sell CBD products. The move came after when early in June, the Texas lawmakers authorized and regulated a bill for the sale of hemp and hemp-derived products. Apart from Texas, Kroger’s stores in Georgia, Montana, Utah, and Virginia would also be part of the tropical products.
Brightfield Group estimates that the CBD product market can hit $22 million by 2022. Hence it is not shocking that Kroger is adding CBD products to their shelves. There is non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and the CBD is helpful to deal with many ailments such as anxiety and epilepsy. CBD products are now also common in beauty and cosmetic products. There are also some restrictions and regulations which Kroger will follow to make the products available to the customers. Kroger’s Express HR system will teach employees about CBD products sale and using the details.
Sparkle Anderson is Kroger Houston division’s corporate affairs manager. He said that like many retailers, Kroger is now also offering a high quality of tropical products which are strained from hemp-derived CBD. All the suppliers for the CBD products have been reviewed for quality and safety. Products contain the minimum limit of 0.3 percent THC which is safe to consume by humans.
