Salman Khan has been taking numerous digs at Priyanka Chopra for dropping out of Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming movie “Bharat”. He described her exit as “embarrassing”.
Khan claimed that prior to the exit, Priyanka expressed eagerness to be a part of the upcoming movie “Bharat” that now stars Salman Khan alongside Katrina Kaif. He said that he advised Zafar to cast Katrina in the movie but he wanted someone who is more “Hindustani”. Despite Katrina having lived in India for the past Twenty years and starring in the movie “Tiger Zinda Hai“, Zafar still opted for Priyanka Chopra.
It is reported that five days before the Shoot of the movie was scheduled Priyanka called Zafar and opted out of the movie, claiming that Nick has just proposed and she is getting married on those dates. To this, Salman replied that he is willing to postpone the schedule until after the wedding.
“After all this, the ‘Nick story’ happened, the embarrassing thing happened and she chose to get married,” he said.
Despite Salman mentioning that he has no problems with changing the dates of the shoot so they don’t collide with her big day, Priyanka replied that she no longer wants to be a part of the movie “Bharat“.
After Priyanka’s exit, Zafar decided to cast Katrina Kaif in the movie which is likely to hit the big screen on June 5th.
