The reel life is different from real life. While there are actors like Tom Cruise who do their own stunts most of the time it is the fearless stuntpeople who do the stunts. Nobody recognizes them, but they are indeed the men behind the wheels. Bryan McCoy is one such stuntman who does stunts fearlessly. Recently, he has been working on his own stunt company Real McCoy Stunts.
He was born and brought up on a ranch in New Mexico. Bryan comes from a racing family. Even his grandparents were into racing. His grandfather’s contribution to the making of the first race track Uranium Speedway in his hometown was monumental.
Bryan has always loved stunts. When he was a kid, he once wore a batman costume and jumped from the roof assuming he would fly. He wanted to fly and kick ass in real life. So that’s what he became. Bryan is the first one in his family to enter the movie industry.
When he was 19 he moved from place to place trying to make a career out of it. He finally moved to Los Angeles and got his SAG card. Bryan worked in his first-ever movie, it was a low budget movie but it was a start for him. He has now worked with amazing people like Chadwick Boseman who passed away last year.
Not only does Bryan McCoy handle racing he also does fire burns, jumps, automatic weapons, etc. He also does stunt driving, precision driving, drifting, stick shift. Bryan has his CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Class A and is also an instructor at the Motion Picture Driving Clinic.
