It’s not often you meet someone who can be described as the “total package,” but Nathalie Dahn checks every box. She’ll surprise you with clever references to German philosophers, make you laugh at amusing anecdotes, impress you by how much she cares, and stun you with her gorgeous smile.
A true “citizen of the world,” Nathalie Dahn grew up in Berlin as the daughter of a German father and prominent Eritrean mother – a blend of genetics that blessed the 22-year-old model with her unique, sultry visage. Her parents also instilled a sense of adventure in her, which has taken her around the globe on modeling shoots as well as on personal explorations into her passions, such as yoga and meditation.
Today, she lives in New York City, where she uses her modeling career as a platform to inspire and motivate young women. “Modeling allows me to drive other pursuits that are important to me,” Nathalie explains. “Things like charity work, inspiring and teaching young girls to pursue their dreams, and demonstrating that there are many ways to live your life and to achieve your goals.”
As such, she is an ambassador for “Beauty for Freedom,” which helps empower survivors of human trafficking and at-risk youth worldwide. Having travelled extensively and being exposed to world’s harsh inequalities this inspired me to use my platform to fight for those who are unable to fight for themselves,” says Nathalie.
Nathalie’s list of passions doesn’t end there, however. Having studied business and economics in Berlin, she has also cultivated a keen interest in entrepreneurship. That led her to become an accomplished real estate broker, and she is currently launching her own line of natural beauty products. “My heritage in Africa made me realize how important natural beauty is,” she explains. “So, I hope to revolutionize the beauty industry by reintroducing the timeless wisdom of mother earth.”
One of the more surprising things about Nathalie is how well-read she is. Eckhart Tolle’s “The Power of Now,” Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist,” and Mark Manson’s “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck” are just some of the books in her library – a testament to her drive towards self-improvement and assertiveness. In fact, writing a book of her own is on her bucket list. “It would be a book that inspires and motivates young women and uplifts their self-esteem,” Nathalie says.
On top of that, she speaks five languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, and Tigrinya, her mother’s home language, and her piano playing will bring tears to your eyes. “I don’t do anything half-heartedly,” Nathalie explains. “When I decide to do something, I really commit.” And it’s a commitment that has made this diverse, cultured, and uniquely beautiful young woman someone that the world can’t stop taking notice of.
