Jay Five’s music has always been about people. He wants people from the slums to learn not to sit around feeling sorry for themselves. He wants them to pick up books and gain knowledge to leave behind the drugs and violence system. The first graduate from his family, education has always been important for the musician. He understood quite early in life that education will give him understanding and wings to fly out of the hood he was born in.
With his music Jay Five wants to activate people’s faith in god. He wants to do service to his community and also wants others who are in better positions now to come back to the community and support the people in some way. Like he is doing by supporting the undiscovered talents and supporting their hustle.
