Ex-British soccer pro Pablo Al-Kaalik has successfully transitioned his career from football to film. He is a well-known humanitarian, TV commentator, film producer, and actor. He is set to feature in several movies this year portraying several roles on screen.
He was recently featured in a British soccer horror film, “The Midnight League.” The soon-to-be-released film is in its post-production stage and Pablo is quite excited about it. Some other Football-based films which released in the past are Football Factory, Greet Street, and others. But this is the first film that combines the elements of both horror and football in the same plot.
Pablo claimed that “The Midnight League” has a grappling storyline. Gradually the film will unfold its horror plot when a night-game will go wrong. He would essay the role of a reporter called Victor. The character has a meaty role and high relevance.
Pablo Al-Kaalik opined that he also heard of Marcus Warren’s “The Heavy” featuring another professional footballer, Vinnie Jones. So, Warren’s next horror flick “The Midnight League” instantly appealed him. Pablo immediately agreed to be the part of the film once Marcus divulged the details of the movie plot to him a few years back.
The Midnight League is set to release soon. Pablo is extremely enthusiastic about the same.
“It would be great if the concept of midnight football league becomes a reality someday. Though it would lead to the addition of lots of new rules and regulations, yet it would make the game more interesting and riveting,” Pablo stated.
Pablo hinted that he has several interesting projects in the pipeline. All projects are likely to release one by one, most probably within the next few months. He is eagerly looking forward to them.
“The online platform is ever-growing and gives ample opportunity for actors to showcase their talents. But, that won’t replace cinemas. Both will survive harmoniously as both have different roles to play in the entertainment industry,” British ex-pro concluded.
